Memberships in the LIV for the upcoming season  PGA Tour players.

Players like Phil Mickelson and Bryson DeChambeau who did not renounce their Tour memberships upon joining LIV were informed in writing of the cancellation for the 2022–23 season.

The PGA Tour has cancelled the memberships of the players it had placed on extended suspension for the upcoming 2022–23 season.

Players like Phil Mickelson, Bryson DeChambeau, Pat Perez, and all other PGA Tour athletes who hadn't quit their membership

when they first competed in the LIV Golf Invitational Series events received the letters. Sports Illustrated was able to secure a copy of the letter.

Mickelson has previously stated that he thought his lifetime membership, granted for winning at least 20 events, was deserved and that he shouldn't have been had to give it up.

In an antitrust action brought against the PGA Tour and recently joined by LIV Golf, which contests the sanctions, Mickelson and DeChambeau are defendants.
